Maybe someone on here can at least point me in the right direction. I'm confused as to why all the drivers and pit crew members are able to wear flex-fit pit caps, and the only kind available for fans are the ones with the velcro closure. Is there a way to purchase a flex-fit cap, or at least contact MA asking what it takes to get one? I saw a picture of the 2010 pit caps and they look pretty cool compared to recent ones, but if they were flex-fit it would be awesome.

From my experience, if the driver's "pitcap" was flexfit, you would be able to purchase that "pitcap" in a flextfit style.  Some of Jr's earlier pitcaps that I have ( 02 and 03 ) were flexfit I guess b/c he would wear his hat backwards and I don't recall him having any since the Bud days. None of his 88 pitcaps that I have are flexfit.

Where did you notice the difference?

Ive seen a lot on tv that are flex fit that drivers wear but the ones available to the public are velcro. Off the top of my head I cannt think which drivers. I wish the would do them flexfit cause velcro sucks

As a Jeff Gordon fan, I've noticed that his hats are neither flex-fit nor velcro, but a buckle closure. However, I've seen several drivers wearing pit caps that are flexfit. Off the top of my head I know of Kyle Busch, Jimmie Johnson, Greg Biffle, Mark Martin, Dale Jr., and others.

Most drivers do wear flexfit.. I asked someone on Kyle Buschs trailer at Daytona in 2008 and he said the drivers could only get the flexfit and they only sell what they are offered.. (HE was kinda being a smart ASS and threw in there that he could get me 1 for a $100 bucks, I told him yea OK)
