Alright as some of you know there is a place for people to write their thoughts after articles that are on racing websites.  I am getting sick and tired of people saying that junior is a crappy driver or that he sucks.  I am just curious if they remember last year when he was running top 10 every week for the first part of the year.  When they were locked into the chase the team tried some things on the car that didn't go so well and they ran mediocure.  When the chase did start he ran in the top 10 again until his bad luck string started.  That has carried over to this year and hasn't really gone away all year.  Junior is a good driver that can get the job done, and he has proven that, but lady luck hasn't been on his side all year.  Give him a break and let him drive the damn car without people critizing the way his races go.

My opinion...

Give him a perfect race car, and he'll run it in the top-10.

Give him a car that's just a little bit off, and he doesn't know how to tell the CC what's wrong.

He doesn't suck, But hes just an average racer. Maybe even below average. He does not know how to tell or fix a car that is not 100% perfect and he has 1 win in 3 years and it was because of fuel millage. Lets get serious. Most of his wins were on plate tracks. Hes a great plate racer for sure. He has 2 tops 5's this year. Since 2000 he has 18 wins (not too bad) 88 top 5's and 142 top 10's. Take Kyle Busch who has been racing less than half of Jr. 16 wins 56 tops 5's 84 top 10's. You do the math...

Not to mention he must have missed or over shot his pit box about 20 plus times this year between cup and nationwide. And all he wants to do is race cup cars. Take a real racer, Robby, Tony, Kyle, ect...They race any and everything. Jr forget about it

Well, unfortunately the last time Jr tried to drive something different, he ended up on fire.  It would be nice to see him drive some other things like Robby Gordon, Tony Stewart, Kasey Kahne etc. But as a fan, I couldn't help say to myself " I hope Jr doesnt almost get himself killed again " if he were to do such a thing.

The more you race the better you become, Just like anything playin guitar whatever. And he doesnt do it. Thats why Kyle and Smoke are so good

Matt i agree with you on the comparison to kyle, but also look at mark martin.  When he drove for roush (an organization like hendrick IMO) from 2004 to 2006 he only won one race and probably had the same amount or more top 5 top 10 results.  I wont count the two years he ran part time.  2009 bam he wins alot and runs good every race.  I think that this will happen next year for Jr.  I don't he will win 5 races, but i think he will win more than one and get into the chase.   If he doesn't then so be it.  I am an earnhardt fan no matter what i just wish people would see that he doesn't suck.

Its always everything else, except the driver to you Junebug fans. Crew chief, luck, bad cars, etc. etc. etc. Jr. is a low rate driver, and will never amount to anything. Accept it. You will be happier when you do.

Using that logic, Jeff Gordon wouldn't be very good, considering he also (like JR) only runs Sprint Cup races. (Actually, JR runs the occasional NW race, so he actual races more than Gordon.)

So, I say that argument is very flawed, and frankly, wrong.

On the Mark thing I think a driver and team get too used to each other. Look at Tony and Gibbs, Harvick and RCR I think it can runs is course. Not that either are not good just a change is needed.

And as for Jeff? He raced everything growing up. And he is a natural what has JR raced other than a car on an oval track? Nothing. No dirt no nothing big deal late models and he doesnt do it any more.
