There has been speculation of this lately and my prediction is that Danica ends up in the 4th car at Gibbs (#02).

With her ability to get sponsored I think a team like Gibbs could take a chance on her and it is a good fit on her end because of how competitive the Gibbs cars are.

Gibbs has plans to run the #02 car on a limited schedule at the end of this year, but doesn't have a driver announced. I don't think Brad Coleman is ready for a cup car and he is really the only guy in their stable close to Cup.

I heard she might sign with Ganassi, but he would only put her in his 3rd IRL car only.

I think all the Nascar talk is being fueled by her people to use in negotiations to get more money from whatever IRL team she ends up signing with

Danica to Nascar seems to be gaining more and more substance. I will stick with my prediction to put her in the 4th Gibbs car because thats the only major team with a seat to be filled and you know with her sponsorship capabilities she will be at a big team. I guess EGR needs to fill the #1, but I bet her sponsor wouldn't be Bass Pro.

If she comes to Nascar maybe they can have a special championship between her and Dale Jr. I dont think she would be competitive at all. Maybe she would get a Fluke win like a couple of race winners this year.

I wouldnt expect much from her. Dario won a championship in IRL and came to Nascar. He didnt even make it to the end of the season.

Danica only won one race thanks to fuel issues. I dont see how she will come in and do something all at once.

Thats true Shawn. Just look at Smoke. He came from being an IRL champ and I believe at the time he cmae to Nascar he was the all time winner for IRL, but the time he spent in Busch series was pretty bad. I think wondergirl thinks her stuff doesnt stink and expects to just be in Sprint cup and not work her way up though

uhh things are WAY different now than when Stewart came....

First off to be in Sprint Cup now all you really need is a sponsor. If you bring a sponsor, and can drive a car you will be in the Cup series.

Also by driving in the NW series now there isn't as much to gain as there was back then. The cars are completely different, so why not if she has a sponsor just go to Cup.

James, if she jumps into the Cup Series right away she's going to be eaten alive just like Joey Logano was when he was thrown into a place he didn't belong. At least give the chick some seat time in the NW or Trucks. Something!

First of all I doubt she is coming to NASCAR now... I think something would have happened by now.

Also I wouldn't say Joey has gotten "eaten alive", by sitting in the top 20 in pts and winning a race. Also there was a 5 race stretch mid season where in those 5 races Logano scored the 3rd most points behind Newman and Stewart.

Joey had to adjust, but it seems like hes done adjusting and starting to just race and hes been running pretty good.

"One of the ‘big’ stories in the motorsports world in the last few days was the shocking revelation that Danica Patrick has signed with Andretti Racing and will remain in the IndyCar Series fulltime for the next three years."

There you have it folks!

Yeah huge shock..........she was just using NASCAR as contract leverage, she knows she wont cut it in NASCAR.

She plans on running the full schedule in Indy, but that doesn't mean shes not coming to NASCAR... they have so many breaks and weeks off in Indy that she can do both.

Right now jayski says she is talking with JR Motorsports about limited Nationwide races and ARCA.
